Basic Spaghetti Squash

Even if you’re not typically a squash lover, spaghetti squash has a pretty cool texture that’s similar to (no surprise) spaghetti.

Ingredients:

  • 1 spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise

  • 1 tsp avocado or olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1.     Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2.     Scoop out all seeds from the squash.

3.     Rub the oil on the exposed cut area of the squash. Season with salt and pepper.

4.     Place the cut sides of the squash down on a baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes depending on size of squash, or until tender.

5.     Allow squash to cool enough to handle, then use a fork to pull out the “noodles” of the squash (the entire inside).

*Enjoy plain, sprinkled with parmesan cheese, or topped with marinara sauce!
