Constantly Varied

Our programming strategically varies the workout stimulus so you’re prepared for any and all physical tasks — plus, you’ll never get bored.

Functional Movement

Have you ever picked something up off the floor? Sat down in a chair and stood up again? Placed items up on a shelf? If so, you’ve performed deadlifts, squats, and shoulder presses. In CrossFit, we train these types of movements because they are the movements life demands — whether we practice them or not.

Intensity

In CrossFit, we focus first on moving well with consistency, and then we work on increasing intensity. But a workout that’s intense for one person may not be for another — it’s relative, which means the goal is to work hard within the limits of your own physical and psychological capacities because that’s how you get results.

The Workouts

You do not need to be fit to start CrossFit but rather you start CrossFit to become fit. When you begin training, a supportive CrossFit coach will teach you how to move and adjust all workouts to your current fitness level. The magic is in the movements. These movements translate to common movements and tasks performed in our everyday life; whether you’re loading up kayaks for a float, reaching for something high in a cabinet, sitting to the toilet, or playing with kids.

The Lifestyle

Lifestyle reflects the way a person or group lives. Love what you do and do what you love. It may start with a 30-day challenge or a New Year’s resolution but it shouldn’t stop 30 days later; it becomes a part of life - a part of you. It’s about the way you feel, your quality of life, your focus at work, your ability to move, and your psyche. The combination of consistent fitness training and sound nutrition are key ingredients to overall happiness.

The Community

The community. It’s your support network. The people you see at the same time nearly every day become your friends and gym-family. If you’re reaching your goals, they’re there to cheer your on. If you’re struggling and feeling down, they’re there to lift you up. Plus, exercise increases dopamine so you’ll get that feel-good after you workout. What’s even greater, the CF community is one that supports diversity and inclusion!

At it’s essence CrossFit is a training program promoting GPP or General Physical Preparedness through “constantly varied functional movements executed at [relative] high intensity.” We strive to optimize our competence in the 10 Domains of Fitness: endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
